"Four fabulous friends live, work and play in New York City. Carolyn, Bianca, Taylor and Roxanne are beautiful and talented African American women who are looking for romantic and professional fulfillment. Through all their ups and downs they have their tight friendship, which they rely on when things get crazy. Carolyn is successful in the advertising business, yet she suffers from low self esteem due to her large body frame. When her psychiatrist suggests she take a chance on romance Carolyn puts her all into her new relationship with sexy, successful Gil. But when Carolyn overhears a telephone message left by Gil's fiance, she kicks him to the curb and buries her emotions in food. When a Caucasian intern starts working with her at her job, Carolyn must open her eyes so that she doesn't miss out on the romance of a lifetime. Sassy Bianca has just relocated from New York to California where she has landed her dream job as a publicist in Los Angeles. Although Bianca is sad to leave her best friends she rises to the challenge of starting over in Los Angeles. Savvy Taylor is an attorney at a high profile law firm. After being cut loose by her committment-phobic boyfriend, Vincent, Taylor finds herself mourning the loss of her relationship and dreading the loneliness of being single. Not wanting to get hurt again, Taylor tells herself she's not interested in a relationship. But when a sexy investment banker piques her interest, Taylor finds heself throwing all her rules out the window. Roxanne is an actress struggling to land her big break in New York city. Forced to audition for demeaning roles despite her Yale drama school education, Roxanne finds herself questioning her path. When Roxanne meets Ram, an up and coming filmmaker, she feels she may have met her love buddy. "
