Plot Summary of The Bridesmaid
"Abby Beaumont is a fifteen year old high school student whose life is turned upside down when her older sister Carol announces that she is getting married. Abby can't believe that Carol, who just graduated summa cum laude from Harvard, is getting married at such a young age when she said she would never get married in the first place. To make matters worse, Carol's fiance, Tucker Robb, is someone that the Beaumont family hasn't even met. Tucker has only been dating Carol for two months and spends most of the year in Colorado. Abby is already sick of weddings due to the fact that her parents own a catering hall called the Dove's Roost. Abby has seen her fair share of Bridezillas, jittery grooms, demanding in-laws and disastrous wedding toasts up close and personal. As the wedding plans commence Abby is shocked when her beloved sister turns into the type of Bridezilla that they've always joked about. And when her parents, Phoebe and David, start arguing about the wedding preparations, Abby fears that the friction will lead to divorce court. On the bright side, Abby has begun dating Noah Spencer, a boy she has had a crush on since she was nine years old. Noah is a bakery delivery boy who works at his father's pastry shop. Abby's life gets tricky when she finds evidence that Tucker is cheating on her sister, her parents fighting gets out of control, her scholarship to Italy is jeopardized and her relationship with Noah is blindsided by a misunderstanding."
