| Plot Summary of The Game: Penetrating The Secret Society Of Pickup Artists |
"The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists is Neil Strauss's foray into the world of dating. Strauss, a well-known rock critic and self-professed loser in the game of meeting and sleeping with beautiful women, goes on a two year worldwide adventure to learn the art of picking up women. It starts out with Strauss accessing message boards for information but he quickly goes to a seminar run by a magician named Mystery. Strauss quickly befirends Mystery as he learns the art ands craft of getting women to have sex with him. Strauss travels the world with Mystery as they give seminars to helpless men and perfect their skills. Eventually, Strauss becomes a full fledged stud and realizes he isn't living the life to score females anymore, he's doing it to teach the newbies. With the sexual encounters and women reaching a personal high for Strauss, the rest of his life starts to suffer (as well as his relationship with Mystery) and he starts to pull away from the lifestyle and eventually writes an article for the New York Times and this book on his experiences."
