"Twenty year old secretary Brenna Sloan is a secretary and single mother raising a two year old son, Randy. Brenna, an aspiring actress, auditions for the legendary producer/director Michael Donovan for a part in his upcoming film. Although Michael thinks that Brenna is totally wrong for the part for which she auditions, he thinks she is perfect for a role in Forgotten Moment, a movie that is currently in production. When Brenna accepts the role she relocates with her son Randy to a location in Oregon where the film is being shot. From the outset Michael tells Brenna that he is attracted to her and that he is intent on the two of them having an affair. Although Brenna is attracted to the dynamic older man, she resists the idea of carrying on an affair with her boss while making her first film. Michael thinks that Brenna is jaded about love after being dumped by her son's father. What Michael doesn't know is that Brenna isn't Randy's biological mother. Three years ago Brenna's older sister Janine fell in love with Paul Chadeaux, the rich heir to a wine fortune. When Janine told Paul she was pregnant he told her to get an abortion and cruelly dumped her. Not wanting Paul to have anything to do with her son, Janine put Brenna's name on the birth certificate and left the father's name blank on the certificate. When Janine died three days after giving birth, Brenna assumed custody of baby Randy. Things start to get dicey for Brenna when Paul Chadeaux shows up on the movie set determined to take custody of Randy. Although Brenna asserts that she is the biological mother of Randy, Paul asserts that he knows that Randy is his child and declares his intention to get his child back. Paul tells Brenna that his wealthy grandmother wants an heir to the wine fortune and Paul is determined to deliver an heir into her hands. When Brenna breaks down and tells Michael that Randy's father is threatening to get custody of her son, Michael offers to marry him as a way of keeping her son. Although Brenna is hesitant, she realizes that marriage to an influential producer will help her in the custody battle. As Michael and Brenna settle into marriage, Brenna starts developing feelings for the enigmatic man she married. Brenna wonders how she can tell Michael the secret about Randy's paternity without her entire world crashing in around her."
