| Plot Summary of Envy |
"Will Moreland is a psychoanalyst in New York City. He has a lot of problems: a philandering father, a distant wife who refuses to have sex with him in any position where she has to make eye contanct, guilt over the loss of his son, estranged from his Olympic swimming star brother, and he is a sex addict. The opening chapter has Will going to his 25th college reunion where he meets up with an old girlfriend. They start to talk and Will finds out she might have given birth to a daughter that might be his. Will begins to argue with her about getting a DNA sample but it's all for naught as she thinks its pointless. Will leaves the reunion a day early and goes to home to his wife and they have sex. But Will is not allowed to give her an orgasm. The next chapter has Will seeing a new patient, Jennifer. She is a young college student who is addicted to having sex with older men. The rest of the book becomes a struggle of will for Will. He is tempted by Jennifer and is ultimately seduced by her."
