| Plot Summary of An Improper Proposal |

" Payton Dixon is a 19 year old girl who has always been in love with the captain of one of her fathers merchant ships, Sir Conner Drake. She gives up her dream of him finally seeing her as woman, especially since he is marrying the next day. The night before his wedding, Conner finally Payton as a woman due to her finally donning a dress and revealing her very desirable feminine form. The pair end up kissing, even though they know nothing can come of it.
The next morning Payton discovers that Conner's fiancee is bamboozling him and puts a stop to the marriage. Conner, who thinks Payton is making up lies, leave England to marry his fiancee in Nassau, only on the way there he is attacked by pirates and taken captive. The pirate captain wants a copy a valuable map Conner has created. Payton and her brothers, who found out about the plot against Conner, followed him out to sea and arrived just in time to see Conner's ship being attacked. Payton unthinkingly jumps aboard the pirate ship and disguises herself as a ship boy so she may find a way to save Conner.
Conner and Payton discover Conner's fiancee is actually the pirate captain's lover, and while Payton tries to devise a way for escape, her and Conner give into their passion for each other during her visits to room while she brings him his food. When they finally escape the pirates, they are stranded on the beautiful island of San Rafael. The two fall in love with each, making love at all hours day, until they are finally found by her brothers, who are angry that Conner has taken advantage of their little sister and demand they marry. Payton will not marry Conner, even though he wants to marry her, due to the fact she believe his forced. The two must fight their way through misunderstandings, and her obnoxious but fun brothers to find their way to happiness."
