"Thomas Pitt has recently been promoted from Detective to Superintendent and is faced with what will become his most challenging case to date.
The Honorable Oakley R.N. has been brutally murdered. His beheaded body has just been found in Hyde Park. Working with sketchy evidence,Thomas Pitt begins to suspect that this victim was no stranger to his murderer. With little evidence to work with, Pitt is at a loss to nab the killer, allowing the madman or madwoman to strike again, not once but three more deadly times. With the help of his well-bred amateur detective wife, Charlotte, Thomas finally finds enough evidence to solve the terrifying case of "The Hyde Park Headsman."
