Plot Summary of Illegally Yours
"Kara Tamaki was unlike any other human female Daniel had ever encountered. It was almost difficult for him to maintain his cool professional tact he was so renowned for in his line of work, an attorney. Kara was referred to him by Katherine, a good friend but what Kara needed was an immigration lawyer to allow her to stay in the states after her visiting pass (waiver) ended. He held firm and told her there was nothing he could do to help. But the moment the expectant mother left with huge stricken eyes and trying hard to maintain her composure, he felt remorse. Kara was such a small delicate thing and she had trusted him to help her. Uncharacteristic of him, he ran after her.

The first time she had laid eyes on him, Kara couldn't help but notice what an attractive man Daniel was. But she thought to herself, an expectant mother shouldn't go lusting after another man. Where Kara was concerned, Daniel Adler was all eyes. Her quiet, straight forward demeanour and the beauty she saw in everything held his interest. Kara's husband had died of an accident in Japan and her mother-in-law had rejected her. Trying to save her family's honour, Kara had fled to the United States to her best friend, Tansho.

Contacting the local immigration lawyer wasn't much of a help. The only way she could remain was if she was married to a local. The answer was a green-card marriage. Daniel, known for the sensible man that he was, would be about to do the most insensible thing. He would proposed to Kara, convinced he was only out to help her but what he felt went deeper than anything. Theirs could turn out to be a real marriage.
