| Plot Summary of For Better, For Worse |
"Josie Flynn is en route to New York City from London to attend her cousin's wedding when she meets rock journalist Matt Jarvis. Although she is in the process of divorcing her husband, Damien, and is very jaded about love, Josie feels major sparks with fellow Brit, Matt. Matt is recently divorced and seems to be sympatico with Josie on many levels. Matt and Josie share a taxicab ride and make plans to meet up prior to the wedding to do some sightseeing in New York city. As Josie becomes embroiled in major league wedding plans she can't help but think that her cousin Martha is making a huge mistake.
When Matt stands Josie up after a night of carousing with a sexy publicist of the Boy band he is interviewing, it appears that all hope is lost for the couple. After all, neither of them has each other's number and all Matt knows is the first name of Josie's cousin and the date of her wedding. In a town as big as New York Matt fears he'll never be able to find Josie. On the day of Martha's wedding craziness ensues when Josie's ex, Damien, shows up at the wedding with a diamond ring and a fierce determination to win his estranged wife back. As Matt races to find out the wedding destination Damien (the love rat) is trying to sweet talk Josie into taking him back and Martha, the blushing bride, does something shocking.
