| Plot Summary of The Last Year of Being Single |
" Sarah Giles is a smart, quirky, young professional battling against love and lust and torn between two seperate relationships. After five years of dating, Paul, the man whom she loves but not too emotionally or sexually, she begins to question whether or not he is the "one for her". At a lunch meeting with one of her collegues, the sexy and smart womanizer, John Wayne (yes a bit cliche but it works in this case) she begins to fantasize whether her life could turn out differently if she only had the nerve to explore a relationship with someone like Mr. Wayne.
Due to unfortunate circumstances that have happened in years past, Sarah grows distant from Paul and eventually begins to feel quite a bit of resentment towards him. Luckily, John is there to give her what Paul cannot, but Sarah does not know if John is what she wants either. Trying to keep both relationships secret, Sarah literally begins to drive herself crazy. After Paul pops the big question to her, Sarah finds herself even more bewildered and torn then ever before.
Author Sarah Tucker provides readers with an exciting a highly sexually charged novel. Although some parts tend to become more of a porno magazine then a chick read, I found for the most part that her choice in diction was revolutionary and entralling. It is a definite summer must-read if you like the Bridgette Jones type. "
