Plot Summary of Watchers
" Travis Cornell, a depressed young man, is planning to end his life in the wilderness. On his way to his favorite spot, he encounters a beautiful golden retriever with astonishing intelligence. Travis takes the dog home and discovers that he can communicate with the dog. Things start to look up for Travis and with the help of the dog, who he dubs Einstein, Travis regains his desire to live and helps a young woman named Nora Devon escape a brutal relationship.
But things aren't so simple. Soon, Nora, Travis and Einstein find themselves the target of a cold-blooded hit man named Vince, who is as relentless as he is deadly. Also pursuing them is “The Outsider,” a genetically altered killer possessing monstrous strength and an inhuman rage who wants to destroy Einstein.
One mystery leads to another as Travis and Nora find out about Einstein and “The Outsider.” Both the dog and the monster were created in a scientific government lab for war purposes. The cute doggie was supposed to wag his fluffy tail and infiltrate enemy camps, thus paving the way for “The Outsider” to slip in and annihilate everyone in sight. Both escape the lab and “The Outsider” is bent on killing Einstein."

Max Talbert, Resident Scholar

"Travis Cornell is about to end his life in the woods when he runs across a golden retriever smarter than normal. This dog ends up saving Travis (who doesn't know it at the time) from the Outsider - a monster bent on killing the dog, which Travis later names Einstien. The Outsider and Einstien are both genetically engineered by the government for wars (the dog is to get past enemies and retrieve important information and the Outsider comes after and destroys everyone). Once Einstien takes refuge with Travis, the Outsider comes after both of them, keeping them on the run. The duo comes across a shy woman, Nora Devon, who has been sheltered her entire life until now. Travis and Einstien save her from a man trying to rape her one dayl. However, hot on their trail is not only the monster, but also a ruthless hit man, who kills without mercy. The suspense is full throttle while the three avoid the Outsider and Vince, the hit man, try to understand the connection between the monster and the dog, and the mystery behind it all."
