| Plot Summary of Love Me Forever |
"Love Me Forever is about Lady Kimberly who needs a husband fast. As a result of her taking the customary year of mourning her deceased mother she has lost her betrothed who didn't have the patience to a wait as he needed her dowry to pay his gambling debts. In an effort to find a husband she is sent to Sherring Cross the home of the Duke and Duchess of Wrothston. There she meets Lachlan MacGregor, a Laird. He happens to be looking for a rich wife since his step-mother robbed him of his inheritance. But since the Duchess is the same woman he kidnapped a year earlier he decides that she's the one for him despite the fact she married that stuffy Duke. He soon realises the error of his thinking and sees that Lady Kimberly is the one for him, falling for her completely. Trouble is she thinks he's truely in love with the Duchess and really rather not be second best nor does she like gold diggers. But as things have it she ends up forced to marry him anyhow. Except her father who hates Scots will not have it! Until of course they end up with one over him, finding out that the very woman he wishes to wed is actually MacGregor's thieving step-mother. So in exchange for his not stopping them from getting married and giving back much of what he lost MacGregor agrees not to press charges. And to add more to the twists and turns in this narrative Lady Kimberly finds out that her father really isn't her father, which explains his poor treatment of her all these years. "
