| Plot Summary of Cards On the Table |
"The novel starts with Hercule Poirot being invited by a rich man with a promising note that he will display murderers whose murders could not be proved! Poirot finds it dangerous and accepts the invitation to find out what the rich man had promised. The party consists of a security team - a Superitendent, detective Poirot, a detective story writer and a colonel along with 4 suspects who are the rich man's exhibits of murderers. The guests start with the game of bridge with the 4 suspects in one room and the rest 4 - the security team in the adjacent room. The host sits by the fireplace in the same room."
