Plot Summary of One Pink Rose
" Travis Clayborne, the youngest of the Clayborne brothers, would do anything for his Mama Rose. So when she asks him to escort a mail-order bride to her future husband, Travis agrees. However, when he accepts this mission from his Mama he ends up getting a whole lot more than he bargained for.
Emily Finnegan is determined to take charge of her future by reinventing herself, and she believes that the first step in doing so is moving to Montana to marry a total stranger. But her plans become foiled when she finds herself falling in love with her handsome escort, who is definitely not the marrying type."

Jess , Resident Scholar

"Travis Clayborne, the youngest of the brothers, has been asked by their mama, Mama Rose, to escort a young lady to her betrothed in another town. Miss Emily Finnegan had been jilted by her bride and decided to leave Boston and marry a man she had only corresponded with by mail. A mail order bride was not something Travis wished for Emily as he becomes rather attached to her on their trip to her Mr. O'Toole. After she falls in love with her escort and keeps her feelings secret from him, as he is "not the marrying kind", she tells a friend she has met along the way that she cannot marry Mr. O'Toole now but she must tell him in person. She keeps this decision to herself as she knows if she tells Travis he will not take her the rest of the way. Mr. O'Toole turns out to be more than she bargained for and a shooting match incurs. Emily refuses to say goodbye to Travis and plans on heading back to Boston on the stagecoach. "
