Plot Summary of Nine Minutes, Twenty Seconds
"    On August 21, 1995 ASA Flight 529 left Atlanta Hartsfield Airport bound for Gulfport, MS with twenty-six passengers and a crew of three. The flight time was One hour and twenty-six minutes.
Twenty minutes into the flight a horrible explosive sound was heard and the plane fell to the left. A propeller blade had snapped and the torque created by the remaining propellers was so great that it ripped the engine from its mountings. Passengers on the left side of the aircraft could see that the left engine was destroyed.
From the moment the propeller snapped the passengers and crew had only nine minutes and twenty seconds to prepare for the crash. The pilot and co-pilot tried to return to the Atlanta airport but crashed in a field in Carrollton, GA.
The passengers survived the initial impact but had only sixty seconds to get out of the plane before fire broke out and engulfed the fuselage. Gary Pomerantz gives a detailed history of each crew member and each passenger. He also recounts in detail experience of both crewmembers and passengers as they prepared for the crash and their experiences in the aftermath of the accident. "
