| Plot Summary of High Stakes |

"Jamie Logan is a spoiled little rich girl, but after the death of her older sister she falls into a depression. At a party a society friend taunts her and so she takes the woman up on a bet. She must seduce a "backwoods" man, someone who doesn't know who she is. Someone far away from her own world. She chooses Ren Garrett, a poor farmer. What she doesn't count on is her own attraction to the shy, gentle Ren. What started as a bet develops into a full blown love, but will she be forgiven if she tells Ren who she really is?"
