| Plot Summary of Pure Dynamite |
"Pure Dynamite is the story of pro wrestler Tom "Dynamite Kid" Billington. Tom tells of his humble beginnings in England and how he got his start at a young age. From there he describes his stay in Canada and his dealings with the Hart family and the wrestlers he worked with there. Then he writes about his stints in Japan and his remarkable matches he had with Satoryu Sayama "Tiger Mask". After that he discusses his run in the 1980's with the WWF and his drug use; the massive amounts of steroids, cocaine, uppers and downers. And finally at the end we learn of all the abuse he had taken over the years that Tom is now broke and confined to a wheel chair. This is as much a cautionary tale as it is a book on wrestling. "

"Tom Billington is a British lad who comes from a family of amateur boxers. While working on a construction crew one day, Tom is noticed by a veteran English wrestler who offers to train Billington for the wrestling ring. Tom begins his career wrestling throughout England before embarking on a '2 week' tour of Western Canada. That '2 week' tour turns into an 18 year career that saw Tom Bilington wrestle as 'The Dynamite Kid' all over the world before his 1996 retirement due to the crippling effects of injuries and drugs.
