"You Got Nothing Coming is the story of Jimmy A. Lerners experience in the Nevada prison system. The middle aged, middle class man who grew up in Brooklyn, NY and went to Erasmus High School tells his tale of woe in that typical New Yorker style of dry humor. But it's anything but funny for Lerner whose prose makes the reader feel like you're right there being a "fish" (a new arrival) with him. Sentenced to twelve years for voluntary manslaughter, Jimmy writes this book while still in jail. He takes us on a journey along with Kansas, a heavily muscled skinhead with whom he shares a claustrophobioc cell with. In this world of racial strife, corruption, and crank-addicted convicts he learns to survive."
