Plot Summary of Menage
"Kate Winthrop is in her mid-30s, free of her ex-husband and leads a quiet life as owner of a small bookstore. She rents part of her house to two male 20 something graduate students, Joe and Sean. One day, she comes home from work to discover Joe and Sean having sex in her bedroom. Instead of being shocked, she is turned on. Joe is embarrassed, but Sean asks her to join them. She does.

As the three explore their sexual relationship, Kate learns that Joe is sensitive and musically artistic while Sean is more agressive and likes dominating the other two. But things move beyond sex as Kate and Joe begin to fall in love. Then Joe gets a chance to succeed with his music, and he leaves. Kate must decide if she should wait for him as he has asked her to do."
