| Plot Summary of Mothers |

"Mothers is the story of Claire and Theo, lesbian lovers who are raising a son, Willie, together. Theo is Willie's biological mother and begins to feel uncomfortable being in public as a couple. She wants to try and give her son a more normal childhood. Claire is hurt and the two eventually split.
Claire's parents try to gain custody of young Willie and the couple come together to fight for their son. Claire is killed and Theo and Willie must learn to go on without her.
