Plot Summary of Truth Be Told
"Grace Monroe has a perfect world. She is a devoted wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. She is a politician who has recently been elected to the Los Angeles City Council. She wants to be viewed as, not only an honest politician, but a Christian as well.

Although they appear to be the perfect family, Grace and her husband, Conner, have not always had the perfect marriage. Grace was guilty of having an affair with another man. Conner was devastated and the couple went through a long series of counseling. Often, Conner would remind Grace that she was the one who had caused problems in their relationship due to the affair. Grace constantly beat her self up about it and strived for ways to make it up to her husband.

Without warning, Conner's former secretary, Pilar, comes to town and announces that she and Conner have a son. His name is Solomon. Not only do they have a child together but Pilar is dying and wants Grace and Conner to care for the child. Grace is devastated! She is especially hurt because for so many years, she has lived with the guilt of her own affair, completely unaware of her husband's infidelities. She is angry with her husband for letting her bear the burden of being the cause for their marital difficulties. Also, she is jealous of the woman who could give Conner a son, something she had not been able to do. As a political figure, she is embarrassed and challenged publicly as word of the situation gets out. She must continuously try to defend her Christian platform while, at the same time, try to work out her family problems.

Eventually, she and Pilar bond as they try to come together to make good decisions for Solomon. Grace begins to make an effort to bond the two families into one. And when Pilar takes her last breath, in spite of their differences, Grace and Conner are there for Solomon.
