Plot Summary of Drive Me Crazy
"Simply known as Driver, the main character in Eric Jerome Dickey's newest novel struggles to escape an impossible situation. After doing time in prison, Driver falls for a married woman, Lisa, who hires him to kill Wolf, her wealthy husband. Thinking that they will then be together, he agrees to do it. He uses the money for a family emergency but is then unable to go through with it. Instead of killing this man, he begins to work as a chauffeur for Wolf's limousine company. Feeling guilty, Driver wants to end the affair. Lisa demands that he either carry out the job or immediately pay back the money.

Driver must quickly search for ways out of dangerous and deadly situations. He hides out while trying to come up with a way to settle his debt with Lisa. At times, he must fight for his life. Other times, he pleads with her reasonable side hoping that her feelings for him will buy him time. He even tries to blackmail her by threatening to tell her husband.

Because his life is on the line, he involves himself in sophisticated illegal scams. Driver hooks up with a female con-artist, Arizona, as they try to steal valuable material from a famous author, Freeman, that he drives for. At the same time, he discovers some very interesting facts about Freeman and his girlfriend, Sade. Driver then turns the tables and with the help of a friend, Panther, outsmarts Arizona. While scheming and running for his life, Driver must also try to look after his ill brother who lives with a violent lover. Through a very close friend who "has his back" at all times, he learns some very valuable lessons about love and friendship. "
