"Mike Jackson, an average guy from Ohio. experiences the slings and arrows of officer training, pilot training and, ultimately, combat as a low, slow Forward Air Contol pilot over Vietnam.
Stationed with the Army at Camp Eagle in I-Corps, Jackson has few of the amenities and must learn to adapt to ant-infested food, giant rats, and howitzers that fire over his hooch day and night.
Yet he still maintains his optimism and wit. Even a life-threatening injury doesn't diminish his spirit or the very positive message of this book. 'Naked' reaffirms the importance of supporting our troops.
