Plot Summary of One Perfect Rose
"Stephen Kenyon, Duke of Ashburton, is told he only has a few months to live. He had always taken his aristocratic duties seriously but now he needs to sort out his feelings. To do so, he wanders in the country side leaving behind his title and trying to be an ordinary man.

He joins up with a traveling troupe of actors, the Fitzgeralds, enjoys their warm boisterous family life and even participates on stage. He soon finds himself falling in love with Rosalind, a foundling adopted by the Fitzgeralds. Rosalind knows that Stephen will die. But then, after she finds out he is dying, he offers to marry her."
