| Plot Summary of Ripped at the Seams |
"Sami is fresh from the midwest. She is positive that she can conquer New York City as a fashion designer. Naive and totally lost she gets off to a rough start and makes a mess of things. Her hotel ends up being a murder scene, her money is running out, and no one on her list of potential employers actually hires designers.
She thought she could get job at the top straight off the bus. When reality sets in she decides to take a job as receptionist in at a designer's offices. When she puts her trust in a designer, who romances her and claims to want to mentor her, she learns about betrayal and the true cut throat nature of the business world.
Sami is ready to give up, when her new roomate and neighbor befriend her. Once she has connections and the right job she realizes that there are nice kind people to be found in New York. Now with the help of her friends she can try to reach the top of the fashion world as a clothing designer and maybe get a little revenge by exposing those that betrayed her along the way"
