| Plot Summary of The Length of the World |
"THE LENGTH OF THE WORLD is an adventure that begins in the Amazon when Saxon and Cian meet on the dock at Manaus. Saxon and his sister Kaitlin, along with her young daughter, are searching for an exotic plant with powerful medicinal properties. This plant is thought to be growing in the vicinity of Alichapon-tupec. Cian becomes their guide, but they never reach Alichapon-tupec. Instead they come upon a deserted village littered with bones. Saxon and Kaitlin slowly come to realize the village was once Cian's home and she has not been back there for many years. Subsequently, as the four of them travel across the Atlantic and up the Iberian Peninsula toward a Gypsy gathering in the Pyrenees Mountains, Saxon and Cian learn to communicate with each other and as they do, Saxon learns of Cian's tragic past and the terrible events she has endured while living alone in the rain forest. Unfortunately there is more hardship and cruelty to come–Cian and a little girl they rescued from a sinking ship, are kidnapped and auctioned off to the highest bidder. Now Saxon must find Cian and the girl before Oxana and her pals finish them off.
