| Plot Summary of Arabian Assignment: Slavery and Terrorism in North Africa |
" The adventure begins when a young American couple go to Sudan to buy freedom for slaves from the “Tribe Men,” slavers who still practice this odious trade as they did hundreds of years ago, forcing thousands of men, women and children into lives of misery, torture, mutilation and unspeakable sexual acts. The American couple finds themselves captured and made slaves— he forced to become a trained fighter for his owner's sport, she to become a sex slave, learning depths of human depravity never dreamed of as a middle-class college student. The beautiful young woman undergoes incredible ordeals as alone and desperate, she tries to flee her captors and survive in a hostile, warring land where life is cheap and women are less important than goats.
A former member of the crack British 22nd Special Air Services, now a safari guide in Kenya, is brought, reluctantly, into an effort to find and rescue the young Americans. He is teamed with an unlikely partner, a young, black CIA operative and former navy SEAL who specializes in clandestine operations in the Middle East. They trek through Sudan's wilds, while roving militia and bandit warlords scavenge the fringes of the seventeen-year long genocidal war between rebel factions and the National Islamic Front-backed government.
The Kenyan hunter uses his .600 Nitro Express rifle and his wits to augment the CIA agent's high-tech .50-caliber McMillan sniper rifle and black ops skills as they experience capture, escape and many battles against overwhelming odds. When they finally find the two young American captives, personal relationships alter and sexual attractions are elevated to new heights. Then a new plot by Osama bin-Laden's terrorist group known as al-Qaeda to attack major U.S. embassies and military bases using the deadliest of the new warfare technology is uncovered. "
