Plot Summary of The Witness
"Lauren Brownley is a concert pianist who since she was a child was taken care of, and never had to worry about anything except perfecting her piano pieces. That is until her father suddenly died and his parter took over being her manager. Lauren was living the high life. She was engaged to Collin, her new manager. He took care of her and he was everything she had ever needed, until a horrible car crash changed her life forever. Her hands were crippled after the accident, Collin flew out of her life forever, taking her money with him.

Left alone and very naive, Lauren was hopeless until Carlo Giovessi came along. Carlo Giovessi helped Lauren get back on her feet. He paid for all of her medical bills, got her a nice, fairly cheap apartment, bought her a new car, and hired her to work part time at his club as a concert pianist. Of course, after the accident, she couldn't play as complex pieces as she had once played, but never-the-less she could still play more complex pieces than the average pianist. She thought nothing but good things of this kind stranger, until she inadvertantly witnessed him murder a man. Now, the only thing that can bring the crime boss down is her testimony, and Carlo's goons will stop at nothing to make sure that she won't be around to give it.

Terrified and utterly alone, she must trust one man... Sam Grey Wolf Rawlins. Lauren is powerfully drawn to the rugged FBI agent who took her into protective custody, but Sam has Lauren pegged as Giovessi's mistress. He is extremely attracted to her as well, but feels he cannot show it, so he acts stone cold to her. Now Sam and Lauren are fleeing for their lives with their survival skills put to the ultimate test after their plane crashes during a blizzard high on the Rocky's. Now they are stranded in the mountains with hit men on their trail, and danger is closing in on Lauren and Sam. They must depend on each other for comfort.

Under these circumstances these two strangers are drawn together into a bond that many people dont experience in their lifetime. Sparks fly between Sam and Lauren, and there is no denying the passionate love they feel for one another. Now Sam is not just protecting her because her testimony is the only thing that can lock Giovessi away for good, he's involved now. She has changed his life, and there's no going back. Theres just one problem. There's a traitor in the ranks of the FBI and Sam knows there is nowhere safe to hide except in a world he left behind long ago..."
