"Left jilted at the alter, Dr. Virginia Waters managed to survive every bride's nightmare. Now she finds herself anxiously awaiting her wedding to a Mountie policeman, Zack Bullock…her former fiancés' brother! But can she forget the life long crush she had and be happy with this new man?
Zack figured marrying Virginia would make up for the humiliation she suffered at the hands of his brother and would take care of the obligation she felt to his family for paying for her medical school. However when an outlaw band threatens his life and kills several Mounties under his command he knows Virginias' life is in danger as well. Braking off their engagement is the only means of protection he can think to offer her but while protecting her, he realizes how much he truly loves her. Can he win her heart back or has his family done too much damage for her to forgive?
