| Plot Summary of Scandalous Journey |
"When Thomas, Earl Grahame and his ward, Miss Eugenia Dudley, are forced by bad weather to spend a night alone together in an abandoned cottage, scandalous rumours start to spread and Eugenia's reputation is at risk. Thomas feels he must do right by Eugenia and proposes to her. Although she turns him down at first, she later acquiesces and they are married. Neither is much used to the company of the other sex and they are constantly misunderstanding each other. It seems as if it will put an endless rift between them in spite of their love for each other. Only with determination can they work out their true feelings and live happily together as husband and wife. "
