| Plot Summary of Titles of the Wrong Kind: A Child's Struggle |
"Timothy Wellington is a young man which is constantly struggling for success and acceptance only to find his efforts being met with disappointment at every crossroad. All the while, as this nearly nameless child dreams of what could and would be in the future, he fights a fierce battle within to conquer his constant recurring depression. It is then that a new enemy slowly begins to arise far upon the horizon, sparking a new battle which would end them all; the battle between the kid, the state and the special education system. Upon winning this battle and losing the title “RETARD,” a new life began to emerge from within that would change him forever; finally granting what no one thought was possible."
Robert Lance Blevins, Resident Scholar
