| Plot Summary of A Monk Swimming |
"Malachy McCourt, Frank's brother, writes his memoir. Like his brother he left his childhood poverty in Limerick for New York. There he found himself a place in the saloons as a bartender and story teller. He appeared on stage and television performing the works of Irish authors like James Joyce. Later he found himself in trouble with the law, and spent some time traveling around the world on the run.
