Plot Summary of The Devil Wears Prada
"Andrea Sachs is a recent college graduate who somehow, to the apparent surprise of everyone she meets in the novel, manages to attain the position of assistant to Miranda Priestly, the novel's antagonist, at Runway Magazine.

The main focus of this novel is the relationship between the semi-naive writer hopeful, Andrea, and her belligerent-is-too-kind-a-word boss, Miranda. Andrea is gratified to land the job but is shellshocked upon entering the cultlike environment, both because of her boss Miranda's incredible arrogance and ridiculous demands, and by her colleagues' panic to get under Miranda's good graces. This novel defies synopsis, as nothing I could write would correctly capture the arrogance in Miranda's attitude and actions."
