Plot Summary of Lady Meg's Gamble
"Desperate to save her beloved estate, Lady Margaret Enfield agrees to a marriage of convenience with navy captain James Sheridan, who is rich and successful, but was born illegitimate, and has no home or family. They marry quickly, but both have difficulty adjusting to married life, especially in saying that they have fallen in love with each other.

A nice secondary romance involves Meg's former governess and her next-door neighbor."
