| Plot Summary of A Murder Is Announced |
"A newspaper ad in the small town of Chipping Cleghorn announces that a murder will take place that very evening at the home of Letitia Blacklock. Accordingly, many townspeople turn up that night, expecting a murder mystery party. But, to everyone's surprise, when the lights go out, a true murder is committed. The victim is unknown to everyone, and the local police are stumped. Fortunately, Miss Marple just happens to be in the neighborhood..."
