| Plot Summary of In Our Shoes: Seven Women Reveal Their Soles |

"Each chapter of this book focuses on a different woman and how she has met the challenges of life. It is a highly diverse group of women from many different backgrounds, economic classes, and professions. They met each month to share their stories. Each one of them wrote a fable and decorated two shoes. The fable told the story of their shoes. One shoe was decorated to represent each woman's past, the other to represent the future that she dreams of. The chapters begin with the fable and then go into detail of their stories and how their shoes represent them."
