Earth owns the hyperspace drive. The governing body Earth Fed has colonized many planets. The Earth Fed president asks wealthy Harrison Fairfax to invest in the Denahault colony. Harrison agrees to travel to the planet to decide whether he wants to do so. He journeys on the spaceship Starchild commanded by Trieka Cavendish. From the moment Harrison and Trieka meet, they feel the strong attraction between them. However, he refuses to act upon it until he learns whether his wife, who disappeared in a plane crash, is dead.
Harrison hopes to learn the haunting truth on Denahault, but is kidnapped on his first day on the planet. Before his abduction, he left two discs with Trieka who struggles between her conscience and her lifetime beliefs. Giving in to her feelings about what is morally right, Trieka rescues Harrison. As Earth Fed thugs chase them across the galaxy, their feelings turn into a deep love.
Fans of futuristic superstars such as Kathleen Morgan and Marilyn Campbell will want to read Katriena Knights' superb science fiction romance Starchild. The enthralling, fast-paced plot runs on hyper-speed, showing that Ms. Knights is a creative force who has quite a future as a storyteller.
