Plot Summary of The Edge
"Ford has a sister who lives in Edgerton with her husband. They're both scientists. The main adversary, the wealthy man of the town, hired them to come out and work for him, and to develop a drug that renders people immune to bad memories. One of the side effects is that it drives people crazy with lust so that they can hardly control themselves. Ford, an FBI agent, wants to know what happened to her sister when she drove her Porsche off a cliff. She was under the influence of the drug. Ford meets up with Laura, a DEA agent, and when they get shot at, they call in Ford's FBI friends, a husband and wife. They are kidnapped, escape from a drug kingpin's compound in Costa Rica, and find that Ford's sister (who'd been missing since she left the hospital) eventually commits suicide by driving another car off the cliff."
