"The main character's mother is in a coma. The main character, a reporter, finds her mother's journals and finds out that a mobster is her real father, so she goes to the island to write his bio in order to destroy him. There, she meets Marcus, the man who operates the island's resort. Little does she know that he is undercover for the US Customs Service, trying to take down her mobster father. There is also someone trying to kill the mobster. (The mobster deals in arms.) Anyway, the book is a mystery (trying to find out who is trying to kill the mobster) and a romance that develops between the main character and Marcus."
