| Plot Summary of The Red Devil Battery Sign |
"The main character is holed up in a hotel in Texas after the Kennedy assassination. Whether she is sane or crazy is left up in the air. She claims to have certain papers proving who is behind the assassination, and is being followed by the Red Devil Battery company, which is mentioned in some way in the papers. She is carrying on a love affair with a man from a neighboring suburb. With a Mariachi band, a conspiracy theory, and a pack of violent boys, this is one of Williams' more surreal plays."
