Plot Summary of The Heaven of Mercury
"This book tells the story of Finus, an old man who has spent his life in a small Southern town. He reflects back on his marriage and his unrequieted love for Birdie. There is a small mystery in the form of the mysterious death of Birdie's husband Earl that Finus unravels as a way of clearing her name while writing her obituary."
