| Plot Summary of 0-200, $3m |
"The unusual title refers to the amount of money needed to create a race car and get the maximum performance from it: this is a motor racing book uniquely written from the point of view of the sponsor - the person paying all the bills.
Walter Sanderson, an Englishman and car racing fan, runs a very successful international business and is approached to sponsor a car in a particular (fictional!) race in America. This is the story of the lead-up to the race and the race itself, interlaced with tales of Walter's relationship with his wife (loving and passionate), his wife's secretary (just passionate) and a female race driver (passionate but guilty). Told from Walter's point of view it is often funny, but the sense of excitement builds and builds until the very climax of the race itself. Even those who don't know anything about racing will enjoy the book - after all, Walter himself admits he doesn't know much about it!"
