| Plot Summary of The Inspector's Wife |

"London newcomer Alec Strand finds himself caught up in a web of intrigue, murder and rescue when he discovers an insidious plot underway by a 'bent copper.'
Chief Inspector Patrick Edwards' wife has gone missing, bodies of petite young women have begun turning up buried in shallow graves in London parks and postal stamp collections are being stolen all round the city.
Alec turns for help to the elderly Ellen Higgins thus forging a team of unlikely crime fighting amateur sleuths who rescue Maggie Edwards and keep her safe until the problem can be sorted out.
