Plot Summary of Rufus Who?
"Having been brought up by his aunt Mavis, without knowing the identity of his parents, Rufus often wonders who they are. The mystery becomes all-consuming when he tries to get a copy of his birth certificate so that he can obtain a passport to leave Trinidad and study in America. A battle with bureaucracy leads to a fact-finding mission that unearths some startling revelations about his roots."
