| Plot Summary of Blue Collar Maestro |
"A young man--affectionately called "The Kidd" by friends--finally finds contentment in a summer job at a local country club, as a landscaper. Within his group of co-workers is a corpulent pervert, a mullet-sporting shoplifter, and a paranoid transient--all are inseparable. And then there is The Maestro--a landscape worker/composer/musician/genius. Once a month, The Maestro performs his latest composition for his small group of friends in the loft of a dilapidated barn. His brilliance intrigues The Kidd, who steals the only recordings of The Maestro's music, and upon returning to college in the fall, reproduces the works and watches the money roll in, feeling certain The Maestro will be pleased by the venture.
The Maestro's privacy and preferred way of life have been destroyed. A mob shows up outside his quiet home in the loft of the barn to hear his next performance. In the confusion, a fire breaks out, and everything--all The Maestro's instruments and belongings--are burned to a crisp, all because of The Kidd's presumptuous actions.
