Plot Summary of No Clue At the Inn
"

Berkley, Nov 2003, 13.00, 320 pp.
ISBN 0425191885

It has been two years since Cecily Sinclair married her general manager Hugh Baxter, sold the Pennyfoot Hotel to her cousin, and moved to London. Baxter has his own business working as a financial advisor and Cecily is a woman of leisure still madly in love with her husband. The Pennyfoot Hotel has become the Pennyfoot Country Club but Cecily still misses the place. She is ecstatic when she and her husband are asked to temporarily manage the club, which they agree to do.

The previous manager died under mysterious circumstances on a deserted farmhouse and no one knows why he was there. While Baxter oversees the hotel, Cecily begins investigating his death while getting reacquainted with her former employers who are now staying there as her guest. Just when she thinks she figures out how the former manager died, a serving maid and one of the guests are killed. Cecily thinks all three deaths are linked and sets out to prove it heedless to the danger she put herself in by doing so.

It has been much too long since a Pennyfoot Hotel mystery has been published but NO CLUE AT THE INN is well worth the wait. The reunion between Cecily and her former employers and friends is quite touching and her relationship with her husband is beautiful to behold especially when they are bickering in a loving manner.   Kate Kingsbury has written a very special cozy that fans will treasure.
