| Plot Summary of Lipsi's Daughter |
"Ipatia Kouris is an orphaned girl who lives on a Greek Island with her grandfather. Instead of marrying, she prefers to go to the university in Piraeus. The day before her trip, she is rescued from a snake by a handsome stranger named Tony. In her haste to leave her rescuer, she drops a book behind. Tony finds the book and what is written insides its pages will change both of their lives forever.
Tony's friend, Dr. Michael, also meets Ipatia and a love triangle begins. The story then moves to Piraeus where Ipatia lives with her spinster aunt. Meanwhile, Tony's father becomes ill and wants him to take over his shipping business. His father also wants him to marry an heiress, but Tony's heart is set on Ipatia.
Ipatia doesn't want to get married, she wants to get her degree, but an inner struggle begins as she realizes she is falling in love with the handsome Tony. Tony decides to test her love and invites her to work for him part-time until she begins her courses. The romance flourishes and just when he decides to ask her to marry him, they get into an accident, which separates them. Ipatia goes to America, not wanting to see him again.
Barely surviving the accident, it takes Tony years to recuperate. Years later, he searches for Ipatia in America, and their love is ultimately rekindled."
