| Plot Summary of A Question of Honor The Kosciuszko Squadron: Forgotten Heroes of World War II |
"
Knopf, Sep 2003, 27.50, 448 pp.
ISBN: 0375411976
The Kosciuszko squadron of the British Royal Air Force consisted of veteran Polish Air Force pilots who fled Nazi controlled Poland for England. The authors contend that the squadron was a major factor in the English finest hour victory in the Battle of Britain.
The authors are aces as they relate what occurred to the pilots and other military fleeing from Poland to eventually fight under British command and control. Photos add to a vivid picture of World War II as seen through The Kosciuszko Squadron. Even more exciting is the 1941 air war. Finally, the latter war years and the subsequent peace will fascinate the audience. Especially insightful is the destruction of Poland buried behind the Iron Curtain as the authors condemn the Anglo-Atlantic alliance for betraying the Polish people.
