"When a small town psychologist is found dead in his office, Detective Sergeant Don Salington rules the gunshot wound to the head a suicide. Darby Jacobs, a rookie policewoman and former patient of the deceased, is not so sure. She investigates and uncovers evidence of murder. As interviews and clues lead detectives to the killer, Darby must face feelings of loss for the late doctor as well as her guilt and anger over a tumultuous relationship with Don. "
