Luna Clark rejected Joe's advances instead of the usual in the sack after one look from him scenario. Swallowing her pride and hiding how much she loves Joe, Luna visits him after a three-month hiatus. She needs his strength to help her with two orphans (Austin and Willow) residing with her.
However, it is not for the kids that she needs him though an adult male can only help. Someone in the town of Visitation want to hurt the two children or at least make them leave and only Joe can keep the trio safe. Joe sees this as the opportunity to finally get Luna in his bed and out of the wrong head (in his mind that is). However, Joe quickly enjoys the company of the kids and will do anything to keep them safe. As he falls in love with Luna, he knows he would risk getting his butt tattooed for her if she would only believe he is serious about her.
The latest Winston tale is an exciting romantic suspense story that fans of Lori Foster, the series, or the sub-genre will fully enjoy. Though a subplot involving a nasty from Joe's past takes away from the steam and speed of the exhilarating story line, readers will appreciate this “family of four” fighting back while turning into a cohesive loving unit. Readers will say yes to this winning Winston thriller.
